This
year’s Annual Art Night will be “A Celebration
of the Renaissance”. This event will take place on Friday; March 20, 2020 from
6:30-8:30 pm. Mr. Sullivan and the art night committee have planned over 20
wonderful hands-on art projects for Spring Glen families to enjoy.
The Art
Night Committee hopes you will consider overseeing an art activity that
evening.
You do
not need to have any artistic flair to assist the children and families. All
materials and directions will be available.
The
evening will include hands on art activities, a scavenger hunt with door
prizes, a fun photo opportunity, student musical performances and a display of
artwork from every student in the school. There will also be food and drink to
top off the fun-filled event.
Please click here to sign up to help facilitate a station that evening.
Thanking
you in advance for your support.
Patrick
Sullivan, Art Teacher
And
The Art Night Committee

Dear Spring Glen families, this is a district-wide petition to the Board of Education initiated by a Spring Glen member and fellow parent. Please help us with this effort by signing the petition. You can also help by sharing this with other Hamden parents, especially parents at other schools (and ask them to share it within their school communities). This won’t be successful if it is just a Spring Glen effort! Here is the link : https://www.gopetition.com/petitions/give-hamden-students-enough-time-to-eat-lunch.html
Thank you to all in advance!
The Spring Glen PTA is looking for leaders interested in running a Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Calls have gone out at PTA meetings but there are still opportunities to get involved in roles of leadership and support. The PTA and Spring Glen School strive to be organizations that reflect, respect, and promote the strengths drawn from similarities and differences within the Hamden community, be they age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, family structure, language and culture, socioeconomic status, etc. To get involved, contact Kristen Talwalkar at springglenschoolpta@gmail.com. More information about tools available from the national PTA to help with diversity & inclusion initiatives can be found online at https://www.pta.org/home/run-your-pta/Diversity-Inclusion-Toolkit.
