Information SGPTA Collects
SGPTA collects basic information from all families that have child(ren) attending Spring Glen School. Such information includes parent/guardian names, street address, phone number, e-mail address, the name of students that attend Spring Glen School along with teacher assignments and grade level for each student. SGPTA collects basic information about all teachers, staff, and administrators that work at Spring Glen School or at Hamden Public School’s central office. Member’s donations and participation in SGPTA activities are recorded to help SGPTA better understand member interests, evaluate the effectiveness of our programs, and for general accounting purposes.
Spring Glen School Directory
SGPTA publishes the following information in the Spring Glen School Directory (the “Directory”) for members of the Spring Glen PTA: parent/guardian names, student names, student grades, student teacher assignments, home address, phone numbers, and email addresses.
SGPTA publishes the following information in the Directory for teachers, staff, and administrators: name, grade/subject taught, job title, and email address.
Prior to publishing contact information for a student’s family, SGPTA will attempt to send a Directory Entry Confirmation Form to parents/guardians. Parents/Guardians may opt-out of having their contact information the Directory.
SGPTA publishes the directory in collaboration with Spring Glen School administration. The Directory is a valuable tool that enhances communication between Spring Glen parents, teachers, and staff. It is intended to be used by members of the Spring Glen School community to contact each other for educational, social, and community purposes. The information in the Directory is owned by the SGPTA. Any commercial use is expressly forbidden.
Advertising Opportunities for Business Partners
SGPTA appreciates the support of businesses that have made in-kind and monetary donations to the school. To help local businesses, especially businesses that are owned or operated by Spring Glen families, SGPTA provides several advertising and partnership opportunities. If you own a business or run an organization that would like to advertise to Spring Glen families, please contact the SGPTA President or a member of the executive board.
Information Sharing
SGPTA does not sell or rent member information to telemarketers, mailing list brokers, or other companies. SGPTA shares member information with other SGPTA members, Spring Glen School staff, the Hamden PTA, Connecticut PTA, and National PTA. SGPTA may also disclose member information when required to do so by law or when such action is necessary or appropriate to comply with legal process served on the organization, to protect and defend the rights or property of SGPTA, or to protect the personal safety of users of the SGPTA website. SGPTA reserves the right to contact the appropriate authorities when visitors’ activities appear to be illegal or inconsistent with SGPTA policies.

All credit card transactions conducted on our website are processed through a secure credit card processing provider such as PayPal.
